about

THE RODEO is the story of an aspiring rodeo star as he chases his dream to make it in the big leagues. Accompanied by his faithful dog, Bishop Mojave, Our Hero travels the country following the path of the amateur circuit in hopes that each stop will get him closer to his dream of making a living in the Rodeo. THE RODEO is based both on a real person, as well as my own experiences traveling the country, chasing dreams.

Track Name: Rodeo Intro
Take me to the Rodeo
I’ve got the feeling I can win
I feel okay again

Take me to the Rodeo
I’ve got the feeling I can win
I feel okay my friend
Track Name: Keep Walkin'
Darlin, you were right
I’ll admit, you were right the whole time
You know, it breaks my heart
To admit, that you were right from the start

But now I’ve gotta go
And get my shit together
There’s a whole lotta thinking I need to do
And if we meet again
I hope we’ll still be friends
You know this ain’t the last I’ve seen of you
But til then I’ll

Keep walking, keep walking, keep walking, keep walking away
I’ll keep pretending that you never mattered anyway
I’ll keep replaying all the things that I forgot to say

Darling, I was wrong
And I’ll admit that I was wrong all along
You know it breaks my heart
To admit that I was wrong from the start

But now I’ve gotta go
And get my shit together
There’s a whole lot of thinking I need to do
And if we meet again
I hope we’ll still be friends
You know that I could never turn my back on you
But for now I’ll

Keep walking, keep walking, keep walking, keep walking away
I’ll keep pretending that it never mattered anyway
I’ll keep replaying all the things that I forgot to say
Track Name: Big Yellow Cadillac
Picture us now on a big yellow cadillac
Rolling through town its a hundred degrees
And we hit the highway with the speed of a heart attack
Lean out the window, your face in the breeze
And all of our worries are melting away
Picture us now in a big yellow cadillac

OOHH I was drifitin
My mind was in the quicksand
I told you I was leavin
But I was already gone

OOHH I can taste it
We've got no time to waste kid
No time for getting wasted
And I can see it now

Picture us now a coupla celebrities
People they chase us for our autographs
And they chase us for pictures to sell to a magazine
And waiting in line that’s a thing of the past
And we've bought our moms houses with acres of land
Picture us now, a coupla celebrities

OOHH I was drifitin
My mind was in the quicksand
I told you we were leavin
But I was already gone

OOHH I can taste it
We've got no time to waste kid
No time for getting wasted
Cause I can see it now

Please tell me
That I ain't crazy
Please tell me
That I'm alright
Track Name: (We Can't) Change the World
Darling let’s go dancing
I wanna watch your dress light up the night, like a disco ball
Darling you’re enchanting
And I could watch you turn, all night long

Your eyes lit up like fireworks in the lights of the arcade
Burning bright like firewood under your soft spoken heartache
And as I pulled you close under the glow of the street light
I know you’re al that I need tonight

So let’s go, let’s get the hell out of here

Cause We can’t change the World
But that don’t mean we shouldn’t try
There’s so much hate in this world
Let’s start by making some love tonight ;)

Darling let’s go wandering
I wanna watch you float through this big ol concrete jungle
like a leaf in the subway breeze
Cause darling I’ve been wondering
How is is that you float, so gracefully

Your hair it dances on your brow in the wind-whipped shoreline
Twisting, turning, tempting me into believing that you’re mine
And as I pull you close, in the fog and the sea breeze
I know that you’re all I need

Let’s get the hell out of here right now

Out time ain't all over
Though it quickly fades
So do I pull you in closer
Or do I push you away?
Track Name: Runnin'
I feel the winter in the wind
I feel the wash of want again
I need the stars to sing me out
I need the sun to sing me in

I see the ones I used to know
Become the ones I thought I knew
I had the feeling of completion
I feel I might’ve spoke so soon

And then I realize, that there ain’t no surprise
That when you stopped calling they stopped picking up

I’ve been, Runnin
Further, away from home
What I got, comin
When I forget, the ones I know

I feel a fever in the heat
I feel an urge to up and leave
I set the bear to be the balefire
Bird song the only news I need

I feel the distance growing great
Tied to the need to weigh my name
I just assumed that you’d all be there
When I had finally found my fate

And then I realize, that there ain’t no surprise
That they stopped calling when you stopped picking up
Track Name: Rodeo Outro
Take me to the Rodeo
I’ve got the feeling I can win
I feel okay again

Take me to the Rodeo
I’ve got the feeling I can win
I feel okay my friend

Take me to the Rodeo
I’ve got the feeling I can win
This will not be the end

Take me to the Rodeo
I’ve got the feeling I can win
I won’t let this be the end
